Achilles (The Wellington Monument)
An 18-foot nude Achilles cast from 33 tonnes of captured French cannon, paid for by 'the women of England' in honour of Wellington. London's first public nude statue since antiquity scandalised the town — a fig leaf was hastily added, and stolen more than once since.
