Royal Artillery Memorial
A giant stone howitzer aimed, by legend, at the Somme, surrounded by four bronze artillerymen — including a fallen gunner under his greatcoat, one of the first British memorials to show a dead soldier. Jagger, who fought at Gallipoli, refused all heroic gloss; many consider it Britain's greatest war memorial.
