Nelson's Column
London's most famous monument: Nelson stands 52 metres above the square named for his final victory at Trafalgar, one sleeve empty, gazing towards the Admiralty and the sea. Landseer's four lions, cast partly from captured French cannon, joined him at the base in 1867.
